Beginner ASL Classes
ASL Beginners 1
This class offers a welcoming, hands-on environment where students will learn essential signs, the ASL alphabet, and foundational grammar. In this course, you'll also gain meaningful insight into the Deaf culture and community, fostering a deeper understanding and respect for the rich history, values, and experiences of Deaf individuals.
ASL Beginners 2
Building on the foundations of ASL 1, the Beginner 2 class takes your skills to the next level with a deeper focus on expanding vocabulary and mastering non-manual signals—essential facial expressions and body movements that bring meaning and emotion to your signs.
ASL Beginners 3
Building on the foundations learned in ASL 1 & 2, this interactive course introduces more complex sentence structures, everyday conversational phrases, and the subtle nuances that make ASL a rich, visual language. Through engaging practice and real-life scenarios, you’ll grow more confident in your signing, improve your expressive clarity, and continue developing cultural awareness of the Deaf community.
Intermediate ASL Classes
ASL Intermediate1
The Intermediate 1 class is designed for students ready to deepen their fluency and refine their expressive skills in ASL. Building on prior knowledge, this class emphasizes conversational proficiency, storytelling, and complex grammar structures, while integrating more advanced vocabulary and culture-based idiomatic expressions.
ASL Intermediate 2
In the Intermediate 2 class, you will engage in immersive, real-world signing activities that challenges you to think and communicate in ASL, strengthening both receptive and expressive abilities. Alongside language development, this class continues to explore Deaf culture, history, and current issues, encouraging students to become more thoughtful, informed allies within the Deaf community.
ASL Intermediate 3
The Intermediate 3 class is where your ASL skills truly come to life. This dynamic course pushes you toward greater fluency with advanced vocabulary, more nuanced use of classifiers, and complex grammatical structures that allow for rich, expressive communication. With a continued focus on Deaf culture, current events, and community perspectives, this class deepens not only your language proficiency but also your understanding of Deaf culture.
